TeenCare Service Terms of Use

By registering and using the service, customers agree and confirm their registration for an online skills-based learning account service for students with tutors with the following content:

Article 1: Account Package Content and General Commitments

TeenCare AI provides students and parents with comprehensive educational companionship and care throughout a long-term and sustainable period through smart applications, events, competitions, and classes on life skills and comprehensive sex education, helping families develop knowledge, skills, and qualities, ultimately aiming to improve physical health, mental health, and overall confidence throughout the adolescence years of children.

Service Start Date: Students can open an account and schedule a tutor meeting within 01 day from successful account activation. The service period begins from the first lesson or a maximum of 10 days from the activation date. Accordingly, parents need to arrange the earliest possible start within a maximum of 10 days to maximize the effectiveness of their account.

In case of wanting to delay the start date, parents need to make a reservation according to the regulations in Article 4.

Article 2: Rights and Obligations of Students and Parents

2.1. Rights
  • Students are scheduled for classes, class placement, and schedule confirmation after successful account activation.
  • Students have full access to program content, participate in experience activities, clubs, and other activities on the online platform organized by TeenCare.
  • Students receive feedback on the quality of services provided by TeenCare throughout the learning period.
  • Students strictly comply with TeenCare School regulations attached.
2.2. Obligations
  • Comply with class regulations and TeenCare regulations.
  • Commit to learning according to the correct course roadmap and TeenCare's guidance. To ensure output quality, students must study throughout the registered course roadmap. If the learning process is interrupted due to personal reasons of the student and family, TeenCare will not be responsible for the student's learning outcomes.
  • Comply with course transfer and renewal regulations (see Article 4).
  • Must not provide, sell, buy, transfer, disclose information about the Package content and account to any third party, nor facilitate any third party to use or share the Student's account for learning without prior consent from TeenCare.
  • Parents commit to understanding and guiding, encouraging their children.
  • Parents strictly comply with TeenCare School regulations attached.

Article 3: Rights and Obligations of TeenCare

3.1. Rights
  • Parents actively cooperate in the process of accompanying students.
  • Receive and exchange information about student status honestly and promptly.
3.2. Obligations
  • Provide complete study materials to students, ensure teaching according to the committed roadmap.
  • Fully implement necessary conditions to create an effective learning environment for students and parents, provide solutions, listen to and answer questions for families throughout the course.
  • Ensure service care and customer support throughout the course period.
  • Ensure the announced data and privacy policy.

Article 4: Renewal, Cancellation, Reservation, and Transfer

  • Services can be renewed according to TeenCare's current policy. Details on renewal policy are updated at www.teencare.vn.
  • For activated service packages, students cannot cancel midway. Details on cancellation policy are regulated at www.teencare.vn.
  • Students can cancel service renewal. After cancellation, students still have the right to use all activated services until the end of the current period. To notify service cancellation, students send a request email to: hello@teencare.vn.
  • Students are not allowed to transfer courses to any third party without TeenCare's consent. Students who need to transfer must notify TeenCare promptly to be recognized for information and processing support.
  • Students are only supported for transfer and/or reservation once for courses registered under this agreement.
  • Students are only allowed to transfer in cases: Students encounter force majeure circumstances preventing them from continuing their studies.
  • Course reservation only occurs when:
    - Students have evidence of force majeure causing their absence from the course.
    - TeenCare will not support course reservation in any form if the Student does not provide satisfactory reasons.
    - Maximum reservation time is 01 (one) month in all cases (after the reservation period, if students still do not use the service, the service will continue to automatically calculate usage time).

Article 5: End-of-Course Quality Commitment

  • If a Student and Parent complete at least 90% of the course roadmap (including formal learning time and homework on the system) but do not achieve progress (progress is evaluated through the results of regular tests throughout the learning roadmap), TeenCare commits to give a free equivalent course, or process according to TeenCare's current refund policy. The verification and approval process will take place within 30 working days.
  • If a Student voluntarily does not attend classes, does not follow the roadmap sufficiently, does not complete enough homework, voluntarily stops studying midway, the Student is 100% responsible for their learning outcomes. Quality commitment does not apply to cases caused by subjective reasons from the student.

Article 6: Implementation Terms

  • This agreement is effective from the day the student activates the service account and is automatically terminated after fully completing their obligations as stipulated in Articles 2 and 3 of this agreement.
  • This agreement terminates in one of the following cases, whichever occurs first:
    - Service is completed, or
    - All obligations of Each Party are completed, or
    - The Parties mutually agree to terminate or are forced to terminate in cases of force majeure.
    - End of the deadline specified in Article 1.
  • TeenCare and students, parents of students commit to correctly and fully implement all content agreed upon in this Agreement.
  • Any changes or adjustments to this Agreement must be made in writing. Appendices and adjustment documents are an integral part of this Agreement.
  • During the implementation of this Agreement, if difficulties or issues arise or there are matters needing change or supplement, TeenCare and students, parents of students must notify each other and actively discuss to resolve quickly in the spirit of cooperation and mutual respect.
  • In case a satisfactory solution cannot be reached through negotiation and mediation between the parties for arising disputes, either or both Parties have the right to request the competent Court in Vietnam to resolve the matter.

TeenCare School Rules

Applicable to: students, parents and school staff
The TeenCare community is built on the values of respect, kindness, responsibility and sharing. All members, including students, parents and school staff must seriously implement the regulations and code of conduct in this handbook to nurture and maintain a good learning and development environment for themselves and all other members of the community.

Each member will be awarded or deducted individual competition points for complying with/violating school regulations. (Individual competition points of students are recorded in the system and used for ranking, exchanging rewards, and scholarship consideration. Family competition points are the total of the child's and parents' points).

I. For Students

  • Students must arrive on time, sit at their desk and log into the class 10 minutes before.
  • Turn camera and microphone on/off as instructed by the teacher.
  • Do not chat about topics outside the lesson to ensure focus for the entire class.
  • Participate fully in class and complete homework assignments.
  • Actively and enthusiastically participate in class discussions and school community forums.

II. For Teachers

  • Prepare lessons thoroughly, on time and in line with approved curriculum content.
  • Monitor, evaluate and regularly update student progress.
  • Create opportunities for students to ask questions, express opinions and provide feedback on lessons.
  • Use positive language, encourage and praise student progress.
  • Ensure fair treatment and non-discrimination among all students.

III. For Parents

  • Have responsibility to facilitate and remind students to attend classes fully and on time.
  • Maintain child's schedule and timetable. Comply with class time regulations, absence notices and schedule changes.
  • Actively track student reports through the application and actively complete homework assignments.
  • Attend all 1:1 Mentor sessions on time to effectively support your child.
  • Actively and enthusiastically participate and contribute to the success of the TeenCare Family community.

IV. Serious Violations That May Lead to Suspension

  • Insulting, threatening or showing disrespectful attitude/behavior towards teachers, school staff or other students, parents in the community, in class or on online forums, through words/messages/images.
  • Deceiving or deliberately creating misunderstandings in learning activities.
  • Violent behavior, including but not limited to fighting, threatening or any other physical or mental violence.
  • Continuous and systematic failure to comply with time and learning regulations, affecting your own and others' learning.

Regulations on Absence, Tardiness, and Schedule Changes

TeenCare maintains a humane, professional learning environment where every member respects each other's time and ensures mutual success. Below are detailed regulations on absences, tardiness, class cancellations, and definitions of unacceptable violations:

1. Notice of Tardiness/Absence/Schedule Change

  • Notice: For any schedule changes, students and parents must notify at least 4 hours before class starts if they cannot attend. This helps teachers proactively arrange classes reasonably, avoid disruptions, and ensure quality classes for other members.
  • Change Schedule: TeenCare's class schedule is a fixed recurring schedule throughout to ensure rhythm and program effectiveness. Students and parents are encouraged to maintain and limit schedule changes.
  • Schedule changes are made according to TeenCare's current regulations.

2. Absence & Tardiness

  • For Group Classes:
    If absent, students can watch the recorded video of the class on the system. Multiple unjustified absences or consecutive late notices will lead to reminders or stricter measures. The school will notify families and lock study accounts after 02 violations resulting in reminders.
  • 1:1 Classes with Mentor Teachers:
    - If students and families arrive late to 1:1 classes, the teacher is responsible for waiting 10 minutes.
    - Note: If students and families are late, the class may be shortened as the teacher may still need to end on time due to the next scheduled class immediately after.
    - After 10 minutes, the teacher may stop waiting and leave the classroom.

Data Protection and
Privacy Policy

1. Overview

TeenUp Co., Ltd. ("TeenUp") is the authorized unit to deploy, use and distribute the TeenCare AI technology-education program in Vietnam by The BrightFamily Labs Pte. Ltd., Singapore ("BrightFamily"). We respect the privacy of parents and learners. This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect your information and your child's information when using our websites, services and applications (collectively called "Services"). Your continued use of the Services means you agree with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:
  • Parent personal information: name, email, phone number and other contact information.
  • Learner information: name, age, class, development needs, assessment results and information provided by parents/learners.
  • Interaction and development data: exercise results, progress logs, class feedback, learning behavior information.
  • Video/audio recordings: from some learning sessions for quality monitoring, internal training and safety purposes. For 1:1 classes between students and mentor tutors, recordings if any are only used internally and not shared with parents to ensure children's privacy.
  • Application usage data: how you access and use the Services, including browser information, IP address, cookies.

3. How We Collect Information

We collect information through:
  • Account registration and form completion.
  • Participating in classes and interactive activities that are recorded or audio recorded.
  • Communicating with us via email, phone, messages or in person.
  • Automatic collection when you use the Services (via cookies, tracking codes, or similar technologies).

4. Purpose of Information Use

We use the collected information for the following purposes:
  • Provide, maintain and improve the Services.
  • Analyze and build learner development profiles; provide appropriate assessments and recommendations.
  • Personalize the experience of parents and learners.
  • Communicate with you: send notifications, reminders, promotions or information about new features.
  • Introduce and promote products and services.
  • Train and improve the AI system: data may be used to train AI models to improve products and services.
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, property and safety of us and users.

5. Children's Privacy Rights

Our services are intended for parents and learners under 18 years old. We only collect information from children under 18 with parental consent. We apply additional measures to protect children's privacy in accordance with current legal regulations.

6. Data Security

We apply appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect data from unauthorized access, loss or misuse.

7. Data Retention Period

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to achieve the purposes stated in this policy or as required by law. After that, data will be deleted or anonymized. Some data may be retained long-term in aggregated and anonymized form to serve research and service improvement.

8. Information Sharing

We may share personal information in the following cases:
  • Contractors, service providers and third parties hired by us to support business operations (e.g., providing online classroom platforms, data analytics, customer care). These parties are bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Competent government agencies when there is a legal request.
  • Cases necessary to protect the legitimate interests of us, users, or the community.

9. Integration of Other Technology Services and Data

TeenCare uses technology solutions from Google, Microsoft, Zoom, ClassIn, Freshworks, Segment, etc. and other international service providers to support teaching, customer care and behavior analysis. These platforms comply with international security standards.

10. Data Ownership and Storage

User's original data is owned by the user and managed by BrightFamily. Data and documents created by BrightFamily's programs and technology are owned and managed by BrightFamily. We ensure appropriate security measures are applied to international standards when transferring and storing data.

11. Policy Changes

This policy may be updated over time. We will post the updated version on the website and clearly state the effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the policy update becomes effective means you accept the new version.
